 Born in California, Garth Grant Fjellstrom started his disc jockey career at Weber State University's local campus radio station "FM 88" in Ogden, Utah while attending college. He soon moved into working as a DJ in some of the popular local nightclubs. Shortly after graduation, Garth moved back to Southern California and began working as a mobile disc jockey. He found that his love for music and vast knowledge of many different music styles allowed him to work many different type of events. Garth has worked and performed for private parties, corporate events, and, of course, wedding receptions. His career has also allowed him to work various types of events with local radio stations such as 106.7 KROQ Radio, Power 106 FM, and 92 FM "The Beat".
During the late 80s, Garth worked for Club Med in the French West Indies as a disc jockey and entertainer. Upon returning home, he immediately returned to his first passion: music. He began performing mainly at wedding receptions and company parties, but kept in touch with current music trends by playing in local night clubs around Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, and Hollywood.
So whether he's playing Motown, Salsa or "Show Tunes", Garth continues to enjoy performing as a DJ and adding to the success of parties. Garth has grown to be one of the top wedding disc jockeys in Southern California, and is frequently requested by clients who have seen him in action at their friend's weddings. Garth started "Simply the Best Disc Jockey Entertainment" in 1997 and devotes his time to wedding receptions, corporate parties, and other special occasions.
